Overseas Subsidiaries and Representative Offices

TGES (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in June 2026 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation to develop and expand the energy solutions business in Thailand.

Working closely with customers in Thailand, TGES Thailand identifies their energy needs and provides solutions combining solar power generation, battery energy storage systems, energy efficiency, and energy management. The company also supports projects locally from equipment installation and development through to operation.

Leveraging TGES's extensive experience and expertise in energy solutions cultivated in Japan, together with its business experience in Thailand, TGES Thailand aims to contribute to the optimization of customers’ energy use, decarbonization, and stable facility operations.

TGES America Ltd. was incorporated in February 2015, as the subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation TGES America was established to serve the needs of corporate customers and offers the same quality services that TGES has been providing in Japan.

TGES America offers energy services, under which we own utility facilities and provide electricity, steam and other forms of utility that customers need for their manufacturing and productions.
TGES America can also serve as an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) provider, on top of operation and maintenance services that we offer for energy services.

Currently, TGES America employees work at the main office as well as at a utility facility that the company owns and operates to serve for the Toray factory in South Carolina.

Bangkok Smart Energy Co., Ltd. (BSE) was established in July 2019, as a joint venture of Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation (TGES), Mitsui & Co., and Gulf Energy Development Public Limited.

BSE partners with the TCC group company, One Bangkok Co., Ltd., to invest in a first urban district cooling and power distribution business to supply One Bangkok development in Bangkok, Thailand, and to execute utility development agreement.
One Bangkok is a fully-integrated district and the largest private sector property development in Thailand’s history on a 16.7-hectare plot in Bangkok’s city center. The first urban district cooling center and power distribution system will undertake chilled water and electricity supply to the 16-building mixed-use district for 30 years.

Gas Malaysia Energy Advance Sdn. Bhd. (GMEA) was established in May 2014, as a joint venture between Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation (TGES) and Gas Malaysia Berhad. TGES has teamed with Gas Malaysia, the largest natural gas distributor in the South East Asian country, to jointly develop new customers for energy services.

By leveraging the combination of know-how that TGES has built in Japan and Gas Malaysia’s dominant　position and expertise in the Malaysian natural gas market, GMEA envisions for further growth in Malaysia.

Currently, GMEA employees work at the main office in Kuala Lumpur and the satellite office in Penang. Gas Malaysia owns 66% of GMEA, while TGES holds the remainder of the venture, providing energy services for the Toray factory and Panasonic factory.

Gas Malaysia and Tokyo Gas Group have had a long-standing relationship since the Gas Malaysia’s inception in 1992. In 1991, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., the parent of TGES, participated the Petronas-led project to launch Gas Malaysia. Tokyo Gas currently holds a 14.5% stake in Gas Malaysia.
